Reycraft Books Brings on the Fun with the Acclaimed Graphic Novel The Bumble Brothers: Crazy for Comics!
The book kicks off a new series about twin brothers Walter and Christopher Bumble and their wacky, laugh-outloud adventures.
New Rochelle, NY, Nov 7, 2022—Leading children’s trade publisher Reycraft Books has published The Bumble Brothers: Crazy for Comics! , the first book in a trilogy of graphic novels for kids ages 7 to 11, written by Steve Metzger and illustrated by Brian Schatell. Published in hardcover on October 1, 2022, the book introduces readers to clueless 9-year-old twin brothers Walter and Christopher Bumble and details their misadventures as they try to acquire the latest must-have comic book starring their favorite superhero, Frabbit—half-frog, half-rabbit. But the brothers must contend with Harold, the neighborhood bully, who stands in their way. A diverse group of characters and vibrant full-color illustrations reflect Reycraft’s commitment to creating books of interest for all children.
Designed to deliver a fully engaging and rewarding experience to reluctant readers—and leave them laughing nonstop—The Bumble Brothers: Crazy for Comics! features wacky misunderstandings, goofy riddles, silly puns, and zany fantasy sequences. Kate McMullan, author of the Dragon Slayers’ Academy series, described it as “taking silly to a whole new level! With art as funny as the text, reluctant readers will laugh their socks off and beg for more!”
The Bumble Brothers: Crazy for Comics! has been chosen by the Junior Library Guild as a Gold Standard Selection. Publishers Weekly has given it a starred review, calling it a “madcap” work that “offers a faithful snapshot of the daily life of two rambunctious, imaginative siblings.”
