Pilar López Ávila lives in Cáceres, Spain. She received her Doctorate in Veterinary Science from the University of Extremadura. She currently teaches biology and geology at the IES Norba Caesarina in Cáceres. In her long career as a writer, she has received numerous awards and recognition inside and outside Spain.

Gina Rosas Moncada is a Colombian illustrator and printmaker based in Hamburg, Germany. She studied Visual Arts in Bogotá, Colombia, and illustration at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences. Her work has been exhibited in China, Korea, Taiwan, Germany, and other countries. Her work has been recognized in important illustration competitions around the world.
