Ed Masessa is the author of Scarecrow Magic, Pumpkin Magic, Snowman's Big Adventure, and two Wandamaker novels. He grew up in a small town in New Jersey but now lives in Florida where lots of old dogs take daily naps.

Petronela Dostalova graduated from the Cambridge School of Art with an MA in Children's Book Illustration. Petronela was born in the former Czechoslavia and grew up in a small village near the Hungarian border called Borša, Slovakia. Her work was shortlisted for the 2021 Bologna Illustrator Exhibition. She lives and works in Tattingstone, England with her partner Dan and rescue dog Haribo. Petronela enjoys muddy dog walks and estuary swims.
