Xiaonan Zhang is a children’s writer, poet, and member of the China Writer’s Association and Shandong Province Writer’s Association. His writing has been collected by the National Museum of Modern Chinese Literature and received many awards, including the Bing Xin Children’s Literature Prize.
Xiaying Cao is a freelance illustrator and graduate of the LuXun Academy of Fine Arts. Her work includes Little Mouse’s Strawberry Field, Draw Legs on a Snake, and Colorful Hide and Seek.
Zhang’s narrative is cheerful, and his partial use of rhyming words suits this nicely to reading aloud.
