Vijaya Bodach is a scientist-turned-children’s writer, born and raised in India. One scary night, a thief stole her box of river stones. Writing this story let her dream how she would’ve liked that night to have been. Vijaya lives in a world of stories in Charleston, South Carolina with her husband, two children, three pets (one dog, two cats, no monkeys), and too many books. Nayantara Surendranath has illustrated children’s picture books since 2012. She explores the relationship between mixed-media and digital illustration techniques and is constantly creating new forms of visual expression. In her free time Nayantara juggles, bakes, and hangs out with her cat, Sakura. Nayantara lives in Pune, India.
The illustration paints bold colors against the night backdrop creating a vibrant feel that draws the gaze and propels the story along.
